Mission Statement

The Jewett Alumni Association, Inc.'s mission is to promote and strive to mimic the legacy of service willed to us by Dr. Mary Bell Jewett, much of whose adult life was spent being a benefactor to the efforts of many African American children pursuing a higher education. Dr. Jewett's many marks of service rendered also included playing an instrumental role in establishing many civic and social improvements throughout the City of Winter Haven, Florida. Our members are challenged annually to give generously of their time, talents and resources towards community causes. 

 

Jewett Alumni Association, Inc. raises funds annually to offer annual scholarship opportunities to Polk County High School Seniors and other High School Seniors in other counties and states that are descendants of Jewett Alumni Association, Incorporated. Also, we offer community grants for local community organizations, especially for youths. For truly Dr. Jewett is one of the pioneers on whose back all of our members faithfully stand.
